Fire, Police, Parks and Schools Suffer
From Tax Breaks!

These developments pay LITTLE or NO TAX for TEN YEARS (typical in City of Portland). but still use city services. You and I have to make up the difference or accept less services. Portland has cut back on police services, cut the parks budget  and has the shortest school year in the country.

Here are a few low tax properties that I got from browsing city and county web sites. Each has a link to the City of Portland data source (where appropriate) and the tax roles plus an aerial photo. I presume that there are many more. (this page created in spring of 2002)
